Looking to book a charter fishing boat on my trip to Destin. I have always wanted to give catching swordfish a try. I know there is a lot of charter boats there. However is there a better boat to book in order to real have a great chance at landing some fish? if you know of a reputable Charter Boat Service in Destin please let me know. Thanks for your help in advance!

Backlash Charters and the Backlash Fishing Team in Destin, FL most definitely! Just a couple weeks ago (April 10, 2010) I took a trip on the Backlash in Destin with my son and some friends. We all had the best time ever. Jason Mikel, the captain, and the first mate, Chris, were great! They took us to the best spots and we caught some Amberjacks and some trigger fish. They will take you on trips to do fishing in Destin with swordfish as well. They also told us that we could go on a catch and release charter trip if we wanted. This was the first time my son and I had been deep sea fishing anywhere so it was important to us that we actually catch some fish. We were told that there were a few inexpensive charters in Destin that left you empty handed, but with the Backlash Fishing Team we came back with a lot of fish! The first mate did a wonderful job with my son, Sean, (and me) showing us how to hold the rod, operate the reel, and pull in the big fish. What impressed me most was they allowed my son to reel in his own big Amberjacks. My son was thrilled beyond belief. I had a blast watching him and his buddy Tyler pull in the big ones and shout with excitement. Of course, I was thrilled catching my own as well. After returning to the harbor, the first mate dressed our fish for us. The trip was memorable! I can't wait to go Charter Fishing Destin again with the Backlash Fishing Team.
